Stay on your feet with our highly slip-resistant sole
Fire Hero Xtreme's highly heat- and slip-resistant sole was built for water, ice, and snow. Its exclusive honeycomb tread pattern and yellow suction cups provides excellent traction on slick and wet surfaces. A well insulated steel puncture plate offers you the highest level of protection from any nasty surprises. The additional signal yellow color on the sole gives you increased visibility when crawling, even in the smokiest of conditions. We even added a built in boot jack at the back to make getting out of your boots as easy as 1-2-3. The interior offers a snug fit that supports your feet and ankles, so no more worries about twisting an ankle when running or jumping off the fire truck. The integrated flex zones surrounding your ankle guarantee more flexibility and freedom of movement when climbing stairs, kneeling, and driving.
Comfort fit with HAIX® cushioned insole
HAIX insoles keep your feet and your shoes fresher and more comfortable on the job. Our insoles absorb perspiration to keep your feet dry even in the most rigorous conditions. Added cushioning provides extra comfort. The microfiber design is lightweight, breathable, and machine washable. Replace occasionally to keep your shoes fresh and comfortable.
Breathable comfort with HAIX® Climate System
The Fire Hero Xtreme ensures your feet stay dry and comfortable by utilizing special foams that absorb moisture from your feet between the inner lining and the leather. Your questions, our honest answers
With the CROSSTECH inner liner, the Fire Hero Xtreme does offer protection from liquids, chemicals, and bloodborne pathogens. The boots are tested and certified according to NFPA 1999 standards for biopenetration.
Your Fire Hero Xtreme boots can be retreaded and refurbished with original manufacturer soles, parts and materials through our Extended Wear program. To freshen your boots, replacement insoles can be purchased online at haixusa.com.
For Fire Hero Xtreme, HAIX always recommends to follow our NFPA 1851 guidelines for routine and advanced inspection. Our step by step guide is here: haix.com/us/nfpa/. To clean boot, brush away any loose dirt with a stiff boot brush. Wash boots with warm water and a small amount of mild dish soap. Air dry without forced heat. Once dry, polish boots with a silicone based polish. It is not recommended to use a wax base polish as it clogs the breathability of the leather.
The Fire Hero Xtreme has a carbon composite toe cap which exceeds NFPA and ASTM testing requirements.
Fire Hero Xtreme measures 13" when measured from the floor to the lowest part of the top line of the boot.
Fire Hero Xtreme runs about a half size larger than your normal athletic shoe size. The width runs true to size and comes in either a narrow, medium, or wide width.
