We are currently out of stock on the Missoula 2.0. We are experiencing delays with our suppliers in sourcing parts for this boot, and as such, do not currently have a timeline for when the boot will be available again. However, we do have other wildland boots available. If you need a certified wildland boot, we recommend the Airpower XR1. If you do not need it to be certified, we recommend the HAIX Missoula.

NFPA compliant dual purpose boot
We've taken our ever popular HAIX® Missoula and given it a serious upgrade! After hearing feedback from guys and gals out on the front lines, we've added some of the additional features you look for in a wildland hiking boot. Newly designed to be compliant with NFPA 1977 for wildland firefighting.
Built-in arch support
The HAIX® Missoula 2.0 was built especially for the wildland firefighter. The lighter weight of the Missoula 2.0 alleviates leg fatigue while on those long hikes, since the less weight you have on your feet, the less energy you have to expend while walking. We've also added into the Missoula 2.0 our renowned HAIX® Arch Support System, because we all know that good arch support makes walking long distances much more comfortable.
Metal free safety toe and puncture protection
We've added a lightweight composite toe that gives your toes plenty of room to move around while offering non heat transferring safety protection. The sole has built in puncture protection too.
Innovative sole design
Our newly designed highly heat resistant, rubber, anti-slip sole will give you greater footholds whatever terrain you encounter out in the field. The light weight PU cushioning built into the sole offers not only outstanding shock absorption but heat insulating protection from hot fire grounds. Then we added a built in boot jack at the rear of the boot to make it easier for you to get your boots off after a long day.
Two-zone lacing with roller ball eyelets
The new roller ball eyelets in the lacing system makes for faster, smoother, and non-friction tightening of your laces. And when you pair it with our two zone lacing, you are able to adjust the boot for a fit tailored just for you, allowing you to achieve the ankle support you need when hiking through rough terrain. Stitching and lacing are all made of heat and flame resistant Nomex®.
Now's the time to try out the latest generation Missoula 2.0, see and feel the difference.

Incredibly comfortable with just a couple days of wearing them. Love them! !!
Love These Boots!!
I have been happily wearing Hathorn Wildland Boots for the last 15 years, but a recent ankle injury prompted my search for a boot that would provide more stability and reduce the risk of re injury. These boots are lightweight, and very comfortable. They definitely provide the ankle stability I was looking for. For a lace up boot they are fairly easy to get in and out of. They break in quickly, and feel like a quality hiking boot, that is also NFPA compliant. My only complaint would be the sizing, as the length was a half size long and the width seems narrow. I ended up ordering a half size smaller than usual and wide to get the right fit.
These are fantastic boots. They broke in very easily. 4 of my fellow department members and I wore these for the field training of our red card class and also for our pack testing. I am very close to buying a pair for everyday use. Love them.
These boots are awesome, they still need a bit of breaking in but by far they’re the best work boots I have, they’re comfortable out of the box and really don’t need much breaking in to be even better.
